Our ambulances
Our ambulances are at the heart of what we do. Without these specially designed vehicles, we wouldn't be able to fulfill the final wishes of terminally ill patients. That's why we'd like to tell you more about our ambulances and why they're so important to our work.
Our ambulances are supplied by AGAM Mercedes-Benz and converted by Tulatech, ensuring they are fully tailored to the unique needs of our foundation. We currently have eight of our own ambulances, all Mercedes Vitos, operating daily throughout the Netherlands to fulfill wishes.
Our ambulances are at the heart of what we do
Each ambulance travels an average of 100.000 to 120.000 kilometers per year. After about five years and 500.000 to 600.000 kilometers, the ambulance is used too intensively for us, but this doesn't mean they're no longer useful. We give our ambulances a second life by transferring them to one of our 22 sister organizations abroad, where they continue their valuable work and also fulfill people's wishes.

In addition to our own ambulances, we are grateful for our partnership with Volkswagen Pon Financial Services. They are sponsoring two ambulances for us: a Volkswagen Transporter and a Volkswagen Crafter. They are also covering the full maintenance and insurance costs of these vehicles for five years. These two ambulances are expected at the end of 2024 and will help us fulfill even more wishes.

We have been provided with a Volkswagen Multivan by Volkswagen Pon Financial Services as a promotional vehicle, which will allow us to further promote the foundation.
Calming atmosphere
The purchase price of a fully equipped ambulance is €155.000. Our ambulances are equipped with windows all around, allowing patients to enjoy the scenery during their journey. They are equipped with a comfortable mattress, an electric stretcher, and all medical equipment is neatly concealed to create a peaceful atmosphere. Furthermore, there are two seats in the back for family members, allowing them to be close to their loved ones during the journey.
