1. What exactly does the Ambulance Wish Foundation do?
We fulfill the wishes of patients who are terminally ill or no longer mobile. Think of returning home one last time, going to the beach, visiting a loved one, or even traveling abroad. We arrange everything necessary so the patient and their family can fully enjoy this special moment.

2. Who founded the foundation?
The Ambulance Wish Foundation was founded in 2007 by Kees Veldboer Sr., then an ambulance driver. After a unique experience with a patient, he decided to dedicate himself entirely to fulfilling as many final wishes as possible.

3. Who are the wishes intended for?
For patients who, due to illness or immobility, can no longer fulfil their last wish on their own.

4. How much does a wish cost?
A wish is always free for the patient and his or her family.

5. How quickly can a wish be fulfilled?
In most cases, within 1 to 2 days. In urgent cases, a request can even be fulfilled within an hour.

6. Where can the wishes go?
Throughout the Netherlands and sometimes abroad. We always consider what is medically and practically feasible.

7. How many ambulances does the foundation have?
We have 10 purpose-built ambulances, designed to transport patients safely and comfortably.

8. Who will guide the wishes?
Two volunteers always accompany each request: a driver and a nurse. This ensures both safe transportation and medical assistance.

9. How many volunteers are active?
We work with more than 300 volunteers: drivers, nurses, promotional volunteers and a volunteer board.

10. Does the foundation also have paid employees?
Yes, in addition to the volunteers, we have a small team of approximately 5 FTEs. This team manages the foundation's day-to-day operations: from planning and administration to communication and coordination.

11. Where in the Netherlands are you active?
We work nationwide: patients from all over the Netherlands can request a wish.

12. How can someone request a wish?
You can do this via the registration form on our website or by phone at 085-4444288. Our wish planners are available 7 days a week from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM. Requests can also be submitted 24/7 via the website.

13. Can a wish also be made on Sundays and public holidays?
Yes, we fulfill wishes every day of the week, including Sundays and public holidays.

14. How are the wishes financed?
We rely entirely on gifts, donations, and bequests. Thanks to this support, we can always fulfill requests free of charge.

15. Is the Ambulance Wish Foundation a recognized charity?
Yes, we proudly carry the CBF quality mark and are a member of Goede Doelen Nederland (Dutch Charities). This means we handle all donations transparently and carefully.

16. Where can I find your annual reports and financial information?
We publish our annual report on our website every year, including financial figures and the number of fulfilled wishes.

17. Can volunteers sign up?
We're currently operating a waiting list for volunteers. Therefore, it's temporarily unavailable to register. As soon as vacancies become available, we'll announce them on our website and social media.

18. How can I stay informed about your work?
We share daily on our website and social media which wishes are fulfilled and regularly post news and stories.

19. Does the Ambulance Wish Foundation collaborate with other organizations?
Yes, we are always open to collaboration with healthcare institutions, charities, and other partners who share the same goal: making the impossible possible for people who are no longer mobile.

20. Who runs the Ambulance Wish Foundation?
Kees Veldboer Jr., son of the founder, is in charge of day-to-day management. Together with a small professional team and over 300 volunteers, he continues his father's work, with the same goal: fulfilling the final wishes of patients who are no longer mobile.
