At the Ambulance Wish Foundation, we value transparency and sharing information about how your donations are used to create memories for patients and their loved ones. The Ambulance Wish Foundation arranges and pays for the entire wish, including transportation and admission tickets. This means there are no costs associated with the wish for the patient or their loved ones. We don't want patients or their loved ones to have to deal with this during what is often already a difficult time.
Here is an overview of the wish costs and how they contribute to fulfilling final wishes:
- Specific wish fulfillment:
Every wish is unique, and the cost varies depending on the nature of the wish. Whether it involves organizing a special gathering, arranging a specific experience, or creating a memorable event, these costs are focused on fulfilling the personal dreams of the wish granter. - Transportation and accommodation:
We strive to transport patients comfortably and safely to their desired location. This includes ambulance transportation costs (including ambulance purchase, maintenance, and fuel), any accommodation costs, and all other necessary expenses to fulfill the request in the most appropriate and careful manner. - Medical equipment and personnel:
Every wish requires careful planning and medical support. Costs include specialized medical equipment, trained medical volunteers, and other necessary medical resources to ensure the patient's safety and well-being. This also includes the costs of the wish planners. These are medical nurses who schedule and manage wishes seven days a week. - Volunteer costs:
The Ambulance Wish Foundation has a team of 300 enthusiastic volunteers, including 160 nurses and 110 drivers. We reimburse volunteers' travel expenses if desired, and we also provide suitable clothing for the wish. - Administrative Costs:
A small portion of donations is allocated to administrative costs, such as maintaining our website, communications, and facilitating awareness initiatives to raise awareness of our mission.
